Providing creativity, research expertise and organizational skills in Greenpeace campaign to stop the climate change and revolutionize energy production

Participating in developing the strategy to redirect Polish energy policy away from fossil fuels and nuclear energy into renewable energy and energy efficiency
- Maintaining close relations with the relevant Polish institutions and scientists
- Addressing the media, political and professional audiences
- Working with extensive network of Greenpeace volunteers in Poland
Tasks:
You will work closely with the Climate and Energy Campaign Coordinator in Poland, energy campaigners in EU offices, especially with our Central and Eastern European offices.
Your main task will be to execute Greenpeace energy campaign plans in Poland before the United Nations Climate Conference in December 2008 in Poznań.
Profile:
- *Environmentalist with strong commitment to Greenpeace’s campaign goals
- General political expertise and advocacy capacity
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good communicator*Stress-resistant
- Able to perform well independently and as part of a team
- Previous professional experience in NGO, public institution or company working in climate/energy field will be an asset.
- Able to travel frequently within Poland and Central and Eastern European region.
This is a one-year position, subject to prolongation depending on performance of the employed person.
